An excerpt..."Supporters of presidential hopeful Ralph Nader filed a petition Thursday to get him on the South Carolina ballot this November.
Nader must provide signatures of 10,000 legally registered voters to qualify as a petition candidate in the fall.
Supporters turned in approximately 10,800.
Those signatures will be sent to county voter registration offices to be verified.
The counties have until Aug. 16 at noon.
All parties have until noon Sept. 10 to certify their presidential candidate names to the South Carolina Election Commission." |
