Description | He's highly influential in party circles and has White House political clout.
What's more, he has media contacts virtually guaranteed to get his point across, even though he's hardly ever quoted by name.
My guess is that he's often anonymously cast as a "top Republican" or "veteran political observer"--characterizations that suggest neutrality.
When he becomes the candidate, his theories finally will be attributed to him on the record.
Democrats like him too. And he's got money. |
