DescriptionReagan Casket Arrives At Presidential Library; Bush Orders Flags at Half Staff for 30 Days
The Hawaii Channel

After a 40-mile trip from a funeral home, the motorcade carrying former President Ronald Reagan's casket arrived Monday at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, Calif. A military band saluted the arriving entourage with "Hail to The Chief" and "My Country 'Tis of Thee," then the coffin was placed inside the library with eight armed forces members standing guard while Mrs. Reagan was escorted to her seat. As the Reagan family motorcade left the funeral home in Santa Monica, Calif., where a monument of flowers and signs was built, people waved from the streets. Once the motorcade had reached the highway, it was greeted by a giant American flag held at the top of giant ladders on a crane sitting on an overpass.
