Description | WASHINGTON, April 15 — The White House said today that it would begin an interactive feature on its Web site that will allow Internet users around the world to have a virtual discussion with Bush administration officials.
Ari Fleischer, the White House spokesman, said Andrew H. Card Jr., the White House chief of staff, would be the first participant in the periodic forums. Mr. Card will answer questions on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
The discussion, at whitehouse .gov, will allow for a 30-minute question-and-answer period. President Bush, and his wife, Laura, are not expected to field questions, officials said.
Internet users will ask questions by filling out a form on the White House Web site. A link will be provided for the forum, called "Ask the White House."
Mark A. Forman, associate director of information technology and e-government at the Office of Management and Budget, plans to join the forum on Thursday. On April 22, which is Earth Day, the administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, Christie Whitman, will participate.
