| Description | "State Democratic Party leaders, with near-empty coffers and dozens of well-funded Republicans running to unseat Democratic legislative incumbents this fall, will gather Wednesday in Washington, D.C., to hit up Bay State congressmen to contribute cash for vulnerable Democrats in the Legislature.
Governor Mitt Romney, a Republican, has pledged $75,000 for every GOP nominee who jumps into the legislative race, and he is crowing over the victory of a Republican in a special state Senate election last week. That race was won by Scott Brown, a member of the Massachusetts House who received more than $100,000 in state Republican Party funding."
