According to United States Congressman Mark Udall, D-Colo., his run for U.S. Senate might have been the shortest in history.
"I think if I didn't have the shortest campaign in history, it's definitely one of the shortest," Udall said in a conversation just before the Morgan County Democrats' annual Big 10 dinner Saturday night.
Udall pointed to the amount of time, resources and energy he and Colorado Attorney General Ken Salazar would have expended in a race against each other as the main reason for his bowing out of the Senate race just one week after he announced his candidacy.
"We have a real good chance to win with Salazar," Udall said. |
