Any race or entry that does not involve an election in real life is a "silly" election or race. You will not see any 'silly' races until you become a member.
Silly races have some characteristics of note.
First, predictions of silly races do not have an impact upon your points.
Second, candidates in silly races are not necessarily real people. They may be some of the users at OC, they may be imaginary candidates, or they may be real candidates. An example of a silly race with real candidates is the "Hot Mama" race which was won by U.S. Rep. Stephanie Herseth (D-SD).
