There isn't a way to implement a no-fly zone without it being a war between NATO and Russia.

Putin is too unpredictable. While providing assistance might achieve some short term saving of life, I'd be concerned that it would provoke Putin into using the last chip he has - tactical nuclear weapons and cause a larger loss of life by escalating the war.
He's already lost the war, he's losing his country, Russia has lost standing in the world, and on display to the world is how much the Soviet war machine has deteriorated in modern Russia.
The goal now is to de-escalate. Find a way for him to claim victory - maybe a neutral Ukraine - and let Ukraine rebuild and Russians decide how they want to heal their own broken country.

Reports circulating indicate that Lt. General Andrei Sychevoi has been captured. He is the top general in the Kharkiv region. Apparently his computer is in the hands of Ukraine, which should be interesting if they get access to his e-mails and military orders.

Just out of curiosity, can anyone say why the land area reclaimed by Ukraine is being described as square kilometers rather than hectares?
Just a wild guess. The Ukraine is reporting it in the default measurements of the European Union as they are a "candidate for accession to the EU". Using EU standards is a tip of the hat to EU on their commitment to the organization.
