| Set up historical counties
|
With the new Map Location attachment functionality, the site is ready to organize the Historical County maps loaded a while ago.
Process has changed - now easier.
Go to the Map Image List screen - [Link]
Search for the state you are editing in the Name field - i.e. "NY Counties"
Start at the earliest date - right click and "Open in New Tab/Window"
If there is no Map Location already attached, you will need to find one appropriate for these dates and attach it - usually you can find one on the previous Map Location dates.
Click [Guess Attachments]
Click "Attach All"
Fix Geographic Coverage, eliminate dates from Name, delete Lat/Lon Boundaries.
Click "Save - Generate Map"
Close Tab/Window and move on to next date.
