| Description | The northwestern tip of P.E.I. is traditionally a fishing area, but the area is perhaps now better known for its wind energy research site at North Cape, which recently began producing electricity commercially. A new visitor's centre was opened there in the summer of 2003.
Tignish (pop. 831) is the major centre in the district. |
