Description | Created in 1984 and located in the far north east of New South Wales, Page covers an area of approximately 16 143 sq km. It stretches from Ballina in the north to Yamba in the south on the coastal side, and from the Queensland border in the north to Hernani in the south on the inland side. The main towns in this division include Yamba, Ballina, Casino, Iluka, Alstonville, Evans Head, Grafton, Kyogle and Lismore. It is named after Sir Earle Page who was caretaker Prime Minister in April 1939 and member of the House of Representatives from 1919 to 1961. |
