| Description | The 5 member County Board serves as the chief legislative and policy making body of the county. Members are elected from geographic districts and serve staggered 4 year terms. While no minimum education or prior experience is required for becoming a county commissioner, individual backgrounds and personalities can enhance the effectiveness of county commissioners. |
