DescriptionState House District established for the 1876 election and sitting for the session beginning November 1, 1876 at the opening of the 1st session of the Colorado General Assembly.

Article V, Sec. 49 of the original Constitution of the State of Colorado set aside 3 Representatives for Gilpin County.

For 1964 to present county based districts disbanded and replaced by single member districts based on equitable population apportionment.
