| Description |
Lower Mainland riding which contains that part of Abbotsford west of Gladwin Road/Clayburn Road/Abbotsford-Mission Highway and north of South Fraser Way/Old Yale Road/Fishtrap Creek Park/Trans-Canada Highway.
It includes Bradner, Clearbrook and Mount Lehman as well as part of Mission. It also includes Matsqui Island, Matsqui Main IR2 and Three Islands IR3.
In 2006 census, immigration population was 36%; 30% had Punjab as mother tongue (3rd highest in BC). Visible minority population was 41% to 33.5% South Asian. Manufacturing (14%) is main industry.
In 2008 redistribution, riding became Abbotsford West; 66% of Abbotsford-Mount Lehman remained in riding; 21% of Abbotsford-Clayburn was added.
