Just a question, I've realized that there are a few state houses that have the wrong lower house name. There's no State Reps in California but there are Assemblymembers.
They would be known as Assemblymembers here, in Wisconsin, Nevada, New Jersey and New York.
They would be known as Delegates in Maryland and both West Virginia and Virginia. I'm just wondering why we can't fix those states specifically or be able to move them all to their right names?

Do you mean why don't the states rename their legislators or why we can't use different ones on this site?
If the latter, there are functions now and more planned functions to be able to compare and combine equivalent offices and if you say they are completely different than the functional programming to do so is completely useless. Or it would require tons more programming to deal with the special cases and would significantly slow down the site.

Usually in most election races they are known as State House for the Office. But you could switch it to either Assembly or Delegate depending on the state. I mean I could do it manually but it would take a long time. I'm willing to do so but I'm worried that wouldn't be allowed.

The Office dropdown should be State House for all lower chanbers in the US (Or the unicameral in NE).
The Title type-in field for the Race should (and generally do) match whatever the state calls it's lower body.

California completed its redistricting today and finalized maps for Congress & State Legislature which are viewable at the above link.
The shapefiles for the new congressional seats are accessible here if anyone wants to upload them here.

Due to the large amount of district re-numbering, I will remove candidates and add them to the correct races accordingly, starting with the most competitive/open seats.

State Senate districts are in. Some notes:
The shapefiles have some additional riding-style district naming - maybe a little more acronymy. I have added those to the Map Location Description. (No we will not be renaming the Containers after these.)
The current odd-number Senate districts have their terms for the full 4 years - carrying them over the remapping. Is this correct, or do they have special 2-year terms for redistricting?
The State Senate and BOE district Containers had Description data with text descriptions of the districts from the 1992 redistricting. So they haven't been accurate for a while. I moved the BOE descriptions to the 1992 Map Location Description field so they are properly timed and I just deleted the State Senate ones since I wasn't sure which districting they were for (probably 1992...) I know it was well intentioned, but please try to think if the text you enter in these fields is good for all the time of the Container or just part of it. If only part of it you can use the Timed Info Container fields or the Map Location ones if appropriate. And please keep a lookout for others like this and fix. I think I saw some like this in Pennsylvania Containers.

Thank you to those who upload the shapefiles into district maps for Congress and Senate! I made race pages for all 80 assembly districts up in 2022 and am adding candidates and articles linked to entries for all candidates in so far. Lots of member vs member races possibly. Looking forward to those maps being up.
