This is one of two districts that make up Summerside, and it includes a new waterfront development designed to attract visitors to the city, with a cleaned-up beach area and boardwalk. Queen Elizabeth Park, a baseball centre that has attracted national youth tournaments in recent years, is also in this district.
This end of Summerside includes a higher proportion of Acadian residents, from the Evangeline region to the west of the city.
