Description
The House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Northern
Mariana Islands serves as the lower body of the Legislature.
It is comprised of 20 members. (18 prior to the 2007 elections)
They are apportioned according to population.
Saipan Island has 18 members.
Tinian Island has 1 member.
Rota Island has 1 member.
Terms are for two years; and begin and end on the second Monday
of January in the year following the regular general election.
