The Prime Minister of Lebanon is also President of its Council of Ministers. The Prime Minister is traditionally a Sunni Muslim and serves a four year term.
On January 21, 2020, Lebanon's judicial Secretary-General Mahmoud Adnan Makiya announced the formation of the government, issuing decrees appointing Hassan Diab as Prime Minister and the Prime Minister's new Council of Ministers.
