| Description |
This riding, on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, contains the District Municipality of Oak Bay, the eastern part of the District Municipality of Saanich, as well as Chatham, Discovery and Radio Islands.
The riding's western boundary is Cordova Bat Road/Cedar Hill Road/Shelbourne Street/Newton Street/Bay Street/Haultain Road/Foul Bay Road.
The area was once the preserve of the Hudson's Bay Co. and now is one of B.C.'s most affluent ridings.
The University of Victoria and the Lanmosun Campus of Camosun College are also in the riding.
In 2006 census, 36% had university degrees.
The immigrant population is 26%. The visible minority population is 15% (12% Chinese).
In the 2008 redistribution, kept 92% of the riding; added 8% from Victoria-Hillside.
