This riding, on Burrard Inlet, contains that part of the City of North Vancouver south of the Marine Drive/Mackay Avenue/border of City of North Vancouver.
It encompasses urban and suburban neighbourhoods in North Vancouver city and district that are south of the Trans-Canada Highway and also takes in a small part of West Vancouver (Capilano Reserve #5).
Mission IR1 and Seymour Creek IR2 are also in the riding.
In the 2006 census, the immigrant population was 35%. The visible minority population was 25%.
In the 2008 redistribution, kept 92% of the riding; added 8% from North Vancouver-Seymour and 6% of West Vancouver-Capilano.
