Description The Union County Board of Commissioners is the legislative and governing body of Union County and consists of five members, elected at-large. Commissioners serve four-year staggered terms. During the first meeting each December, the Chairman and Vice Chairman are elected by and from the Board of Commissioners.

The public portion of regular meetings is held monthly every first and third Monday at 6 p.m. in the Board Room on the first floor of the Union County Government Center (500 North Main Street, Monroe N.C.), unless otherwise indicated.
