Fortunately I can still vote in republican primaries...
At which time you will promptly automatically be Republican again.
My point was if I find it necessary enough.

I don't understand why conservative Republicans would dislike Trump. But I'm a Democrat so what do I know.
I am a conservative and a lifelong republican. To me, that answer is simple: conservatism is a sensibility, not just a set of policy outcomes. George Will has written brilliantly on that point.
At the end of the day, conservatism is marked by its commitment to upholding institutions and resistance to being reactionary. Trumpism flies in the face of that to such an extreme degree. Thus why conservative scholars have shown the most resistance to Trump of any of the different groups within the GOP.

While I don't believe NJ congressional district results have been posted yet, there is always a plethora of data that is available on that repository for entry here.
The repositories are searchable by state and organized by election.

Spend spend spend and while we are at it lets not fix any of the crippling fiscal issues in the state. What could possibly go wrong!

Quite honestly shocked that New Jersey actually cut a tax instead of giving us a new tax in the name of progress.
So I’ve been working on making some maps of NJ’s legislative districts. I started today with making a map that favors democrats, and it was petty easy up until I reached the northwest. The population decline provides a serious problem in making a map that favors democrats in their hopes to turn Morris Co. blue. I assume it would be more of a task for republicans because splitting Sussex Co. (for the first time in history) may have to happen just due to the decline in population.

I wonder if she wrote this with a straight face.
The new map straight up sucks. The only district that largely make sense are the 1st and 2nd. There's no way in hell they can justify Linden being in the same district as Green Township, and Cranford being in the same district as Newark. She also claims that there was a "the joining of Lake Hopatcong towns in the 11th District" which is complete and utter crap when you look at the fact that Hopatcong ISN'T EVEN IN THE 11th anymore. It's not a so called "fair map" when you almost completely ignore NJ's rapidly growing Asian American population, and create MAYBE 1 competitive district.

I'm a little surprised how many congressional candidates filed with (at least so far) fewer than 100 signatures to get on the ballot, including multiple Libertarian Party candidates. Unless the law has changed and I haven't heard, 100 valid signatures are still needed, so unless there are attempt to supplement them in the coming days I can see a number of independent and third party candidates not actually make the November ballot this year.

I've read that in the first cycle post redistricting, there's an old law that allows for the minimum number of signatures to be cut in half.
Oh interesting. All candidates have submitted at least 50 signatures, so that makes sense. Do you have a source for that somewhere?

I've actually noticed New Jersey tends to have more independent candidates running than most states. I recall reading the 50 signature rule for redistricting cycles, I wonder if that has increased the number of third party candidates. It was on David Wildstein's site, but I'll try to see if I can find a non-lane-closer source.
