Legislators are elected for four-year terms and take office on the second Monday of January following a general election.
The current term of the legislature began on Monday, January 11, 2016 at 12:00 p.m.
The next term of the legislature will begin on Monday, January 13, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
Term limits: three consecutive four year terms. Enacted in 1995, effective in 2007.
