The State Affairs Commission (formerly, the National Defence Commission; dissolved by the Supreme People's Assembly on June 2016) is charged with handling domestic affairs for the state. It is subordinate to the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, which itself is directly led by its Chairman, the Supreme Leader.
