Description |
Frankford Township, New Jersey, is a pleasant and bucolic community located in New Jersey’s great northwest Skylands region offering both convenience and small-town character. The Township is 35.4 square miles of rolling agricultural lands, wetlands, forests, streams, and pristine lakes. It’s a perfect place for the outdoor enthusiast. Frankford Township is home to the Sussex County Fairgrounds, which hosts the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm and Horse Show and numerous other events and activities throughout the year. Skylands Stadium is also located in the Township. Permanently preserved acres of open space and Frankford Park featuring well-maintained athletic fields are assets the community truly enjoys. Thousands of acres comprise nearby Stokes State Forest, the Kittatinny Mountains and the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. The Delaware River and the Appalachian Trail, two national treasures, offer true wilderness settings less than 15 minutes away.
