| Info | Mr. Fawcett is an attorney with Buchanan Ingersoll, where he is a trial lawyer specializing in business disputes and litigation for high tech companies. He and his wife, Susan, reside in Oakmont with their three children.
Councilman Fawcett received his undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. As a lawyer, he has tried cases in state and federal courts across the country, and he is one of 15 Pittsburgh attorneys be listed in Best Lawyers in America � 2001-2002 under the category of business litigation. Before attending law school, he briefly taught in a public high school in New York State.
In 1996, Mr. Fawcett was the Republican nominee for Congress in the 18th Congressional District. Before his election to County Council, he served on the Oakmont Borough Council. He presently serves on the Allegheny County Board of Elections and on the Board of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. He is also a member of the Riverlife Task Force.
