InfoRep. Daniels, a Democrat, represents part of Jackson County (District 41) in the Missouri House of Representatives.

In the 1996 legislative session, Rep. Daniels served as Speaker Pro Tem of the House.

In addition to his legislative duties, Rep. Daniels is the executive director for Kansas Metropolitan Senior Citizens' Center. Previously he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service for thirty years.

Elected as the dean of board for the Kansas City School Board from 1974 to 1986, Rep. Daniels also was a member of the following organizations: Local 906, National Association of Postal and Federal Employees, President, 1950 to 1960; Ninth Region president, 1960 to 1970; National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Kansas City, Vice President, 1959 to 1960; and the Kansas City Chapter of the Urban League, board member, 1965.

A graduate of Muskogee public schools, Rep. Daniels attended the University of Kansas.

Born September 8, 1919, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, Rep. Daniels currently resides in Kansas City with his wife Sybil R. Daniels.
