| Info | A licensed real estate consultant, Mr. Fontana is a resident of the Brookline section of the City of Pittsburgh. He also serves as a Democratic Committeeman.
After earning an Associate Degree from Community College of Allegheny County in 1971, Mr. Fontana was employed by the Allegheny District Attorney's office until 1976. He earned his real estate license in 1973 and is currently with Howard Hanna Real Estate as a Sales Manager and Associate Broker at the Green Tree Office.
Mr. Fontana is a member of the Realtors Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh and serves on the Government Affairs Committee of the Association. He is a former member of the Teamsters and AFL-CIO. He and his wife, Francine, have three children.
Council Member Fontana plans to use his background in business, sales, management, marketing and service in his position as County Councilman.
During his first term, Councilman Fontana focused on fighting for a fair and equitable property assessment system for Allegheny County, a living wage for all County employees, and a balanced County budget. Councilman Fontana's goals for his second term in office is to stop the exit of our young people and residents to other counties by creating jobs, stabilizing our neighborhoods and encouraging regional economic development efforts.
