He’s a defender of those without a voice, both the living and the yet-to-live, and he’s a man of heart and character. Jerry’s an intellectual leader who has a passion for ideas and principles.
In the last fifteen years, Jerry has served in academic settings, pastored three Michigan churches, partnered in several successful business ventures, and gained vast international exposure by visiting, working in, and lecturing in over twenty different countries.
Jerry recently completed five years as the Director of Programs at the Acton Institute, a Grand Rapids-based think-tank that provides global leadership on issues relating to economics, public policy, and theology. In his role at Acton, Jerry worked with religious leaders, business leaders, and political leaders both nationally and internationally.
In the academic arena, Jerry has taught at both Calvin College and Calvin Theological Seminary. He currently teaches a leadership course in the MBA program at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids.
