InfoSandals is a relatively well-known trial attorney who specializes in pension and medical care cases.

From Website...
"He is a native of the town of Manchester, in east central Connecticut, where his father and uncle owned a pharmacy on Main Street. He attended and graduated second in his class from Manchester High School in 1972. Leaving Manchester, he moved on to Haverford College in suburban Philadelphia. At Haverford he majored in Religion and received his B.A. and departmental honors in 1976.

During his teen and college years, Alan worked in the family business, on a cattle ranch (at Deep Springs College, in eastern California), and in a factory; ran a local office for U.S. Senate candidate Joe Duffy in Connecticut in 1970; and participated in a biblical archeology excavation. From 1976 to 1977, Sandals was a Volunteer in Service to America (VISTA) affiliated with the Center for Literacy in Philadelphia. With the Center he helped to organize and run volunteer programs in adult literacy in Philadelphia and Camden, N.J. and worked in an experimental program in Newark, N.J. to improve reading proficiency among fourth and fifth graders.

Alan received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1980.

After a brief stint in Washington, D.C. with a small law firm representing women in employment discrimination cases, in 1982 Alan returned to Philadelphia and joined the firm of Berger & Montague, P.C. In 1987, he established the employee benefits department of that firm and became a shareholder. In 1997, he and two other attorneys departed to form their own firm, then known as Sandals, Langer & Taylor, LLP.

Alan is the current President of the Support Center for Child Advocates, Philadelphia (www.advokid.org), which is the nation’s oldest and largest organization providing volunteer legal representation and staff social work and planning services to abused and neglected children.

Alan is married to Alisa Field, a graduate of Bryn Mawr College (A.B. 1977) and the University of Pennsylvania Law School (J.D. 1981). They celebrated their 25th anniversary last summer. They have lived and raised their two children, Leah (age 19) and Nathan (age 18), in Center City Philadelphia since 1982."
