InfoTate Reeves is a Republican candidate for the office of State Treasurer.
Tate is a graduate of Florence High School in Rankin County. He graduated with distinction from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. Tate's post graduate work includes the prestigious Chartered Financial Analyst designation, which is a standard measure for competence and integrity in the investment management industry.

Tate is an Investment Officer for Trustmark in Jackson. In this capacity, he manages hundreds of millions of dollars for Mississippians and their local governments, including bond issue proceeds, school district funds, and individual trust accounts.. On a daily basis, Tate is responsible for assisting his clients in meeting their financial obligations, which is the primary duty of the Treasurer on behalf of our citizens. He is also a member of the Trustmark Investment Strategy Committee.

Prior to joining Trustmark in 2000, Tate was an Assistant Vice President for AmSouth, formerly Deposit Guaranty National Bank, and served as a Senior Investment Analyst and member of the Investment Policy Committee.

Tate is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research and serves as Public Awareness Chairman for the Mississippi Society of Financial Analysts. He is the recipient of the 1996 Mississippi Society of Financial Analysts Award. Tate is also an investment policy board member for the Millsaps College General Louis Wilson Fund.

Tate is married to the former Elee Williams of Tylertown. Tate and Elee attend Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church. They have been very committed to many civic and charitable organizations in Mississippi - including the Mississippi Society for Disabilities, UMC Children's Cancer Clinic, Middle Mississippi Girl Scout Council, Boys & Girls Club of Mississippi, Stewpot Ministries, the Exchange Club Parent/Child Center, United Way of Mississippi, YMCA youth activities, and the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
