| Emily Pataki was born in Westchester County and raised in Peekskill, New York � in the same town and on the same farm that her father, Governor George Pataki was raised. In fact, Emily and her father attended the same elementary school, Uriah Hill.
While in high school, Emily was active in sports, theater and served as student council secretary. She also held executive positions in her school�s Christian Fellowship and Young Republicans for more than 2 years.
Emily graduated from Yale University in May 2001 with a bachelor�s degree in American Studies. While at Yale, Emily continued to pursue her interests in theater, ethics and politics. She also tutored underprivileged children in New Haven.
Emily was the program chair and alumni relations chair of her Yale Senior Society, the Elihu Club. She also served as an event planner on Senior Class Council and within her sorority, Kappa Alpha Theta.
Emily has worked in the investment banking department at JP Morgan in Manhattan. Other work experience includes summers at the finance department of the Metropolitan District Commission in Boston, and the Chelsea Piers Sports Center. Most recently, Emily was a writer and producer at Bloomberg Television.
In April of 2002, Emily joined the Pataki campaign staff as the Director of People for Pataki, a statewide grass-roots outreach operation intended to inform, motivate and inspire a unified movement behind her father�s gubernatorial campaign.
Emily is 23 years old and the eldest of the Pataki children. She has three younger siblings: Ted, age 20; Allison, age 17; and Owen, age 15. When she�s not traveling across New York State on behalf of People for Pataki, Emily lives in New York City.
