Info | Gerald W. "Jerry" Clark was elected to his first term of office as Calvert County Commissioner in November 2002. He represents the First Election District in Calvert County.
Graduating from Central High School, Seat Pleasant, Maryland in 1970, it wasn't until 1977 that Mr. Clark decided to make his permanent home in Calvert County. Since that time he has been the owner of multiple retail and real estate businesses in the area. Although not settling in Calvert County until 1977, Commissioner Clark has had lifelong ties to a family farm in Huntingtown, Maryland.
Commissioner Clark comes to this position with a strong background in community and civic involvement, including serving as the current President of: Duke Street L.L.C., G.W. Clark, L.L.C., Market Place Wine & Spirits, Jerry's of Dunkirk, Jerry's of Solomons, and Port of Call Wine & Spirits. He has also served as President, Vice President and Treasurer of the Solomons Business Association; served as a past Treasurer for the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce; served on the Compensation Review Committee in 2001 and has been on the Board of Directors of Ann-Marie Gardens since 1999.
Commissioner Clark currently represents the County Commissioners on the following County boards: the Calvert County Fair Board, the Marine Museum Board of Governors, and Cypress Swamp/Flag Ponds Nature Center.
