Info | Formerly known as Darin William Stofko
Power, the younger brother of state Sen. Lisa M. Boscola, D- Northampton, had a colorful and unsuccessful political career in Bethlehem. His name was Darin William Stofko before he had it legally changed in 1999.
He was beaten in a mayoral primary in 1989 when he was 22 years old.
In 1993, he tried again, but dropped out of the race after he was found guilty of leaving the scene of a car accident.
In 2001, Power simultaneously ran for Bethlehem controller and Northampton County executive. But a court ruled Power lacked the qualifications to be controller and his name was stricken from the ballot. He lost his primary bid for county executive to incumbent Glenn Reibman.
