Christine spent her youth in a small Midwestern town, Effingham, Illinois. Her parents taught her the importance of hard work and responsibility. At a very young age, Christine displayed an interest in politics. She was very interested in history, and she enjoyed learning about historical figures. George Washington was her favorite because they both shared one thing in common - February 22 - same birthdays. Christine displayed courage and compassion for others from a very early age. She carries these same traits with her today.
