| Info | McGinn was appointed Sheriff of Delaware County by County Council on September 2, 2003, to fill a vacancy. His term will expire in January 2006. He is eligible to run for a full four-year term when the office is up for election in 2005. Sheriff McGinn has been an Associate Professor at Delaware County Community College since 1984. He served as a Commissioner in Lower Chichester Township, where he resides, from 1988 until 2001.
His many community activities include serving on the Delaware County Hero Scholarship Fund and the Hero Bowl Committee. He is a U. S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam. He is a small business owner and past board member of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
Sheriff McGinn received a bachelor of science degree in education from Temple University and Masters of Education from Cheyney University. He and his wife, Judie, have two children, Joseph Jr. and Kellie.
