Chairman of Subcommittee on Crimes and Corrections, Member of Judiciary, Labor Relations, Local Government and Policy Committees. Served on Public Employee Retirement Study Commission, Local Tax Reform Caucus and Acid Rain Caucus. Accomplishments include enactment of protections for high-growth municipalities; leadership role on committee which wrote the state’s 1989 Ethics Law; authorship of Constitutional Amendment barring convicted judges from state pension system.
