Info | Judy Streatch is a high school French immersion teacher at Forest Heights Community School. Judy has worked as an educator for over 15 years, first within the Halifax Regional School Board and now with the South Shore District School Board.
Judy is 38 years old and has four children: Jordan (14), twins Kaitlyn and Dylan (13), and Mackensey (11). She lives in New Ross with her partner Gerald Keddy and his two sons Benjamin and Joshua.
Judy has been involved in politics for most of her life. Her father is former Nova Scotia Cabinet Minister Hon. Ken Streatch. Her mother, Barbara, passed away earlier this year. Judy worked on over a dozen campaigns: municipal, provincial, and federal where she has held every job except being the candidate.
Judy is a Saint Mary's University and Nova Scotia Teacher's College graduate. She also attended L'Universite du Quebec in Trois Rivieres and earned a diploma in French. Judy was a member of the first School Advisory Council to sign a letter of agreement with the Department of Education and was a member of the School Advisory Council at Forest Heights Community School from 2001 to 2004.
Judy has been actively involved in 4-H and a sports volunteer and is a lifelong member of St. Andrew's United Church in Elderbank, NS.
