| Info | Gary W. Swing was the US Pacifist Party (USPP) candidate for the US Senate from Colorado in 1998. He left the USPP in 2002 over differences with party founder Bradford Lyttle and established the Colorado Independence Party which is no longer active. He was a Natural Law Party candidate for the US House of Representatives that same year. He was the first announced candidate for the 2004 US Green Party presidential nomination. He later became the first candidate to drop out of that race too so he could run for the US Senate as a Democrat, a campaign that never materialized.
