InfoMichael Benoit was born on March 14th, 1951, in Boston Massachusetts. He is the proud father of two daughters, Natalie Marie, and Michelle Loreta, ages eighteen and eight, respectively. He is currently engaged in private business, and has been for over ten years now. San Diego county has been his home for almost 40 years; Lakeside has been home for the last ten of them.

Mike, as he is called by his friends, is not a verbose man, but one who would rather have his deeds speak for him. He is the forever student, in many subjects. He loves foreign languages, history, philosophy, economics, and much more. His heroes include (but of course are not limited to) people like, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, and Frederic Bastiat.

The touchstone of Mr. Benoit's political philosophy for the United States Government is this: "Show me where it says in the Constitution that the Federal Government has power to do that." If legislation includes the plunder of one individual for the benefit of another, then you can bet he is against it. He holds to the idea that the closer to the people that the power is, the better. He holds that the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land, and that it should be interpreted literally.
