| Info | Ronald Weiser was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 7, 1945. He was married to Eileen Lappin in 1983. Their son, Daniel was born on October 1, 2000. Mr. Weiser's two married children are Elizabeth Caswell and Marc Weiser.
Ambassador Weiser founded McKinley Associates in 1968, and served as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He is a graduate in Accounting from the University of Michigan School of Business, and has done post-graduate work at the University's Business and Law Schools.
McKinley Associates is a national real estate investment company. McKinley and its property management subsidiary own or manage real estate valued in excess of $1 billion. McKinley also invests in and manages investments in oil and gas, venture capital, stocks and bonds. McKinley's corporate headquarters are located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with regional offices in Ann Arbor and Taylor, Michigan, as well as Oklahoma City, Orlando, and Norfolk.
Ambassador Weiser is a former Member and Vice-Chair of the Michigan State Officer's Compensation Commission.

Eileen Weiser has served on the boards of a number of civic organizations. She was elected in 1997 as a member of the Michigan State Board of Education. In 2003 she was appointed by the President to serve on the National Assessment Governing Board (NAGB).
Ambassador Weiser arrived at post on November 30, 2001, and presented his credentials to Slovak President Schuster on December 5, 2001. Since his arrival he has been extremely active having officially visited all 138 cities, some more than once, and numerous villages.
In addition to his diplomatic responsibilities, he worked with the Embassy to organize 3 international investment conferences with investors representing hundreds of companies.
Ambassador Weiser was recently recognized in the Report to Congress and the President by the U.S. Commission for the Preservation of America's Heritage Abroad for his work and contributions for the restoration of the Jewish cemetery in Zakopane, Poland, and one of Slovakia's most cherished historical sites, the medieval Trencin Castle.
