Sally, a resident of the county for the past eighteen years has a long history of public service. She has served on the Park City Council, COSAC (Citizen’s Open Space Advisory Committee), Mountain Trails Foundation Board, Park City Chamber Board, Park City Historic Main Street Alliance Board, Summit County Historical Society, Recycle Utah and the PC Garden Club. Besides serving on these boards, she also served as the Founding Director of Utah Open Lands and Chaired the Utah Heritage Foundation Park/Recreation Board.
Sally also served as the Construction Manager for the Historic Union Pacific
Rail Trail, taught skiing, led Girl Scout Troops and worked to create historic
markers at ski areas. In her spare time Sally likes all kinds of sports including hiking, skiing and horseback riding. Sally’s husband, Torch, is retired from the military.
Her son Chip is a Major in the Armed Calvary stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas
with his wife, Debbie and their three children, Casey, Jacob and Ian. Sally’s
daughter Libby is married to Kelly Parkinson and is a third year medical student
at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Sally’s daughter, Cat,
is a second year law student at Seattle University, the largest independent
University in the Northwest, in Seattle Washington.
Sally currently owns and operates Utah Escapades, ABC Reservations and
Park City Sleigh Company. All these companies encourage people to come
to our county for meetings and to vacation in our mountains.
