| Info | Samuel T. Nicholson is something of a mystery. The US Census of 1900 shows no person with that name in the entire state of Pennsylvania.
The Wilmington Semi-Weekly Messenger reported on 1/5/1900 that a man named Samuel T. Nicholson born in Halifax County NC had moved to Pittsburgh and had married Jennie Conwell of Alabama. That Samuel T. Nicholson has an entry at Ancestry.com that gives his dates as 1852-1933 [Link] . His name appears in the 1900 US Census as living in Pittsburgh, though his first name is lined out.
