Info | Chuck Pennacchio is a proud Democrat and native Pennsylvanian who is devoted to public service. He is an American history teacher who became the History Program Director at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia in 2003. Born in Darby, in Delaware County, Chuck now lives in Plumsteadville in Bucks County with his wife Nancy and their children, Sophia and Ben. Chuck has substantial experience in government as a congressional staffer, as a small business owner, and as a community-builder active in local organizations. Chuck is currently a board member at the Tabor Children?s House child care center, a frequent volunteer at Groveland Elementary School, and a coach in his daughter?s youth soccer league. He is also a member of the Plumsteadville Grange, a local organization that promotes rural living and agriculture. Chuck received his B.A. from the University of California and his Ph.D. in American history from the University of Colorado before returning to Pennsylvania to teach at Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture from 1997-2003. The Delaware College Student Government named Chuck Professor of the Year there for 2002-2003. Chuck is not a career politician. He is a leader with the independence, vision and determination to make government work better for us all.
