Info | WHITE, George Henry, a Representative from North Carolina; born in Rosindale, Bladen County, N.C., December 18, 1852; attended the public schools, and was graduated from Howard University, Washington, D.C., in 1877; studied law; was admitted to the bar in 1879 and commenced practice in New Bern, N.C.; principal of the State Normal School of North Carolina; member of the State house of representatives in 1881; served in the State senate in 1885; solicitor and prosecuting attorney for the second judicial district of North Carolina 1886-1894; delegate to the Republican National Conventions in 1896 and 1900
