Rep. Gibbons is a member of the following organizations: Grace Episcopal Church in Kirkwood, Kirkwood Kiwanis Club, Kirkwood Historical Society, Circle of St. Joseph, Bonhomme Township Republican Club, and the Kirkwood Area Chamber of Commerce. He is on the board of directors for Citizens for Modern Transit and the Edgewood Children=s Center. Elected as a Kirkwood city council member in 1986 and 1990, Rep. Gibbons served as deputy mayor from 1990 to 1992.

A 1977 graduate of Kirkwood High School, Rep. Gibbons received a bachelor of arts degree from Westminster College in 1981 and a juris doctorate from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1984.

Born March 24, 1959, in Kirkwood, Rep. Gibbons currently resides there with wife Liz. They have two children: Danny and Meredith.
