He is on the board of directors for Citizens for Modern Transit and the Edgewood Children=s Center. Elected as a Kirkwood city council member in 1986 and 1990, Rep. Gibbons served as deputy mayor from 1990 to 1992.

A 1977 graduate of Kirkwood High School, Rep. Gibbons received a bachelor of arts degree from Westminster College in 1981 and a juris doctorate from the St. Louis University School of Law in 1984.

Born March 24, 1959, in Kirkwood, Rep. Gibbons currently resides there with wife Liz. They have two children: Danny and Meredith.
