InfoJay Benanav (born June 17, 1951 in Ramat-Gan, Israel) is an American Politician and member of the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL). Since 1997, Benanav has served as a City Council member for the 4th Ward of St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2001, Benanav was the DFL party's endorsed candidate for Mayor. He lost that race by just 403 votes to Randy Kelly, a State Senator from the East Side of St. Paul. In early 2007, Benanav announced he would not seek reelection to the City Council but instead run for Ramsey County Judge.
