MS: John Thomas Cripps Announces his Gubernatorial Bid via the Constitution Party
By John T. Gripps
For a Strong, Prosperous, Fair and Just Mississippi
I was born in Jackson; raised in Vicksburg. I am an ordained minister, and an accountant by trade. Married to the former Dawn Van Winkle, we have six children and six grand-children.

My oldest son currently serves in the U.S. Air Force. I own and work my family farm outside Wiggins, Mississippi. As Governor, I will work to make sure our laws are fair and equitable, with opportunity for all, favors for none.

Cripps for Governor

Cripps Position on the Issues:

* ABORTION

 I am pro-life. I will not support legislation which aids or

contributes to the death of any unborn child.

* ECONOMY

 Mississippi's economy must be strong in order to provide job opportunities to our citizens. Our high school & college graduates should not have to leave Mississippi in order to find good employment. I will work for laws which encourage small business success & hiring, and manufacturing jobs.

 Our legislators must not waste our tax money on programs designed to buy votes for their re-election. If a program is frivolous or wasteful, I will make sure it is abolished.

 Our taxing laws should NOT punish hard-working Mississippians with high taxes while exempting large corporations. I will fight for equity and fairness in tax laws.

* EDUCATION

 Compared to other states, Mississippi has one of the most bureaucratic educational systems in the whole United States. I will see that our educational system is overhauled to eliminate waste and provide more money to those who actually teach the students.

* FLAG

 Mississippi has the most beautiful flag of all states - one we are proud to protect, and defend. No compromises will ever change the hearts of those who hate our beloved Mississippi.

 Our success lies in our resolve to uphold our heritage - faith in God, strong family, morality and hard work.

* GUN OWNERSHIP

 An Armed Citizenry Is The Teeth Of Our Liberty. We Must Protect & Defend Our Right To Keep & Bear Arms At All Costs. I will protect and defend all rights secured under the Constitution for all Mississippians.
