| Info | Julia received her law degree with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1993. While in law school, Julia interned at the US Attorney's Office in Chicago, and at the Champaign County State's Attorney's Office.
Julia served as an Assistant State's Attorney for seven years in Champaign and DuPage counties. During her career as a prosecutor, Julia led traffic, domestic violence, juvenile delinquency, and child abuse divisions, and successfully tried numerous serious felonies, including murder cases.
Currently, Julia is a partner at Beckett & Webber, in Urbana, specializing in family law. She also teaches at the University of Illinois Police Training Institute, training Illinois police officers on current legal issues and the proper application of the law.
